This latest installment in the "Meet the Resellers" series features Daniel Kornitzer, CEO of SiteSell, a leading provider of software for building small business e-commerce web sites.

James McNally (JM): How long has SiteSell been doing business and what are all the services you offer to your customers?

Daniel Kornitzer (DK): The brainchild of founder and Internet expert Dr. Ken Evoy, SiteSell has been helping small businesses succeed since 1997. Site Build It! (SBI!), our flagship small-business solution, offers the industry's most complete system of integrated tools and applications for individuals to build and market their own successful Web-based businesses, handling all the technology, so that users can focus on what's most important…building online business success. In fact, 62% of our customers make it to the Top 3% of all sites, by traffic. SBI! is also taught at over 30 universities and colleges around the world, including the University of Arizona and The Citadel Military College.

JM: Any interesting stories from your company's history?

DK: Probably the most interesting aspect of SiteSell is that it has achieved close to 50,000 customers in 120 countries with virtually no marketing, fueled by word-of-mouth recommendations by our incredible user community, and referrals by our business partners and affiliates. It's a fantastic ecosystem, that fosters a true win-win approach.

Another interesting point is that, in addition to SBI!, we have added 2 new business-building layers: education and turnkey services. So, SiteSell can now cater to the varying needs of small-business customers, from the "do-it-yourself" foundation to the "teach-it-to-me" or the "do-it-for-me" value added services.

JM: How did you personally get into the Internet business?

DK: I'm an engineer by training, so I've always worked in and around technology. In 2000, I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Evoy, and the rest is history!

JM: Where are you located and what makes it such a great place to do business?

DK: SiteSell is located in Montréal, but it's a distributed company, with virtually all employees and consultants working from their own homes. This also makes us an environmentally friendly company, contributing to a reduction in harmful emissions and the consumption of non-renewable energy, as well as improving the quality of life of our team members.

JM: How long have you been an OpenSRS Reseller and how has your partnership with OpenSRS helped your company succeed?

DK: We've been partners with OpenSRS since 1999. It's a great relationship that has evolved into a strong and highly valued partnership for our company.

JM: What can we do to make the relationship stronger?

DK: It's hard to think about how we can make the relationship stronger. We look forward to continuing to nurture the close rapport we have built with the OpenSRS team.
